Welcome to Angelic Complementary Therapies August 2025 Newsletter

ree

It’s that magical month where we all pretend it’s summer, despite the drizzle and cloudy skies. Mind you, June was very warm and sunny at times (Fred loved it), I got a bit too melllltttttt whilst giving energy healing.

Anyway, August for many means barbeques, holiday traffic, festival weekends (wellies included), day trips to the seaside for fish and chips (whilst dodging seagulls). Late sunsets, warm evenings in a pub garden, one last hurrah before schools return and traffic increases again. This year, we also have A' level results! We find out how Ozzie did with his exams and whether he will get into the University of his choice – I’m more nervous than he is.

How was your July? I do hope it was fun, peaceful, exciting or whatever lovely outcome you were hoping for.

For me, July flew by very quickly – almost too quickly. I was fortunate enough to spend a couple of days in Glastonbury and visit a place I love, the Chalice Wells. It is so peaceful here, a pure oasis away from the highly energetic atmosphere of Glastonbury town.

I was also fortunate to see the West End show, The Great Gatsby, with Ozzie and his girlfriend; what an incredible show – a must for theatre and musical lovers. I also completed a crystal healing course and spent time in St Albans at The Crystal Healer and with Philip Permut, the Crystal Healer. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a genuine passion for all his work. If you would like to know more, please take a look at his website www.thecrystalhealer.co.uk

I treated myself to a few new crystal friends, one of which I will talk about later in this newsletter.

While in St Albans, we visited the cathedral – what a wonderful place. It was also extra special because the organist was practising for a recital, and I was immediately transported back to Dad, playing magnificent organs. It was so beautiful that I was moved to tears. I remembered sitting with Dad, mesmerised as he played the keys, pulled and pushed various stops while his feet moved seamlessly over the giant pedals, while I turned the music pages under the guidance of his nod (I couldn’t and still can’t read music).

And finally, but by no means least – I would love to introduce Basil and Sprout! We've welcomed new little fur babies into our family. We can never, ever replace Jeffie, but we felt it was time to bring another cat… or in this case, two little kittens – into our home. We have so much love to give, and the house was missing the energy of a furry member of the family. They are already bringing so much joy and laughter, and their unique personalities are beginning to form. Basil (tabby, boy) is more adventurous, very loving (to the point he falls off your lap), chatty and loves to stalk his sister. At the same time, Sprout (tuxedo, girl) is more cautious, dainty and patient.

I’m sure they will make their presence known to you in time, be it in person or from a sound somewhere within the house. It was only the other day I was mid-treatment when we heard this pretty loud crash! It turns out they had knocked something over in the kitchen. Oh boy, I can see how much fun the Christmas tree and decorations are going to be for them!!

Dr David Hamilton – Better You, Backed by Science

I have a huge amount of respect for Dr David Hamilton. I’ve attended many of his webinars and zooms. I also love the inspirational quotes I receive almost daily, and hearing about his latest venture Better You, Backed by Science. Here is an example I would like to share with you, in his own words.

“A science-backed way to boost your mood and energy... without even having to think positive thoughts.

Here it is. You’ve probably heard of the power pose. It’s that confident Wonder Woman or Superman stance that makes you feel stronger and more self-assured.

It really works. I do it myself, usually before I do an online presentation.

But what’s even more helpful is understanding why it works - because once you know that, you can use it in lots of ways (which I'll show you today) to lift your energy and shift your mood.

Here’s the Why

There’s a constant synchronisation between how you feel on the inside and how that’s expressed on the outside - through your posture, facial expressions, and how you move.

It’s why you smile when you feel happy, or frown when you’re sad or stressed. You don’t consciously decide to do it - it just happens.

That’s because the muscles involved in smiling or frowning are linked to emotional regions of the brain.

But here’s the fascinating part: It works both ways.

Just as your feelings shape your posture and movement, your posture and movement can shape your feelings.

This two-way link - what psychologists call bi-directional - means that how you move and hold your body can literally create how you feel.

Bi-Directional in Action

Here’s a few examples of bi-directional in action.

You sit up straight when you feel alert - it's also true that sitting up straight makes you feel more alert.

When you feel tired, you slouch - it's also true that slouching makes you feel more tired.

You feel good, you walk taller - it's also true that walking taller makes you feel better.

You smile when you’re happy - it's also true that smiling can make you feel happier.

Your body is always feeding information back to your brain, which responds by adjusting your mood and internal chemistry to match.

An Unexpected Stress Hack

This leads me to an unexpected stress hack. When you’re stressed, your movements often become fast and jerky. You might knock things over. You speak quickly. You breathe rapidly.

Our usual solution is to rest or try to think ourselves calm.

And yes, those can help.

But here’s a quicker route:

Do the opposite to how you move when you feel stressed.

Slow your movements. Move with intention. Breathe more deeply. Speak intentionally more slowly.

When you do, your body is saying, “I’m chilled.”

Your brain responds, “OK then,” and adjusts your internal chemistry accordingly.

No positive thinking required.

How to Boost Energy — Do the Opposite

Let’s apply this to low energy.

When you’re tired or flat, notice your posture. Most likely: shoulders slumped, spine floppy, face heavy, shallow breath. Maybe even a frown.

Now… flip it.

·       Straighten your spine.

·       Relax your shoulders.

·       Lift your head.

·       Smile gently, with intention.

·       Move in a self-assured way.

·       Breathe consciously and fully.

In minutes, your body will send a new message to your brain:

“I feel energised.”

And your brain will follow suit.”

It’s amazingly simple, but sometimes we need to read it, be reminded of it and try it – it works.

Blue Mist Lemurian Quartz Crystal

ree

Although this crystal may look like a clear quartz point, it is much more special. This beautiful crystal was formed in the mountains of Columbia over 100 million years ago. Throughout its lifetime, it has endured 20 million crises where the Earth's upheavals internally fractured and broke it. After every catastrophe, these crystals healed themselves, giving the appearance of a blue mist within them. You’ll notice the point is completely clear – the crystal is fully healed. The yellowish colour near the base is due to the presence of limonite.

This crystal has the ability to make you feel both young and wise at the same time. It brings a sense of calm to us emotionally and physically, fostering a deep sense of peace.

Angel Card

Joy and Contentment

The Angel Guide Oracle Deck, Kyle Gray

What a stunning card, and when I connect with it, I feel at one with nature. Many of us find peace once we are grounded with Mother Earth. The magnificent, strong tree radiates energy behind the woman. The pure joy and contentment that surround her are evident. The delicate smile on her face and the innocence in her eyes complete the scene.

Be here now. Enjoy the present moment and all the positive experiences that have unfolded and are continuing to unfold. A wave of contentment is washing over your life. Contentment is taking time to reflect on your situation, enjoy the moment, and trust that you are always being guided. Your angel team is encouraging you to follow your heart now. Do what makes your heart and soul sing. Happiness is the key to inner peace, and you are being given an opportunity to experience it now.

I wonder what this August has in store for each of us. Whatever it brings, may it be fun and peaceful. Maybe think of ways you can have quality time with the people in your life or quality time with yourself. Be present and, as I always say, be kind to all, but mostly yourself. I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and angel hugs.
