How was your September? I hope it was enjoyable, peaceful, exciting, or whatever lovely outcome you were hoping for.
My September has been changeable. Firstly, my youngest has started at Leeds University – he’s left a huge hole in our home. That infectious smile and cheeky laughter aren’t here on a daily basis anymore. I then took two weeks of holiday, where I met up with family and friends, as well as spent lots of time in nature, walking miles most days. Towards the end of last week, we finally laid my Dad’s ashes to rest in his beautiful home county of Dorset. It was a sad yet special time reminiscing and sharing stories about Dad with family. I know both Dad and Mum would have loved it.
October has truly arrived, bringing with it that unmistakable shift in the air. The mornings are cooler, the evenings grow darker earlier, and suddenly the idea of a hot cuppa feels less like a treat and more like a necessity.
October is the month when our pavements are covered with leaves, acorns, and conkers. Our jumpers make their yearly return, and we start discussing whether the clocks “going back” is really worth the extra hour in bed (spoiler: it is). Amidst cooking hearty and warming meals, debating if it’s too early to turn the heating on, and trying to master carving a pumpkin without it collapsing, October gently wins us over every year.
After what feels like a fabulous sunny, warm and relatively long summer, I feel very ready for cosy evenings, brisk walks under grey skies, and thicker duvets (not to mention blankets while relaxing with my fur babies. October is here to remind us that autumn is for slowing down, wrapping up warm, and finding joy in the small things—preferably with a good cuppa in hand.
So here’s to stepping into the cosy season: to scarves, flickering lights in the window, and the comforting feeling that home is exactly where you want to be.

Angelic Reiki 1 & 2 Practitioner Level Workshop – November fully booked!
Due to high interest, the first workshop in November is already fully booked. Given this and the continued enthusiasm, I have decided to hold the next workshop early next year. Please let me know if you are interested and would like further details.
Mindfulness
A very simple mindfulness practice for the darker evenings
As the evenings grow darker and daylight seems to slip away all too quickly, it’s easy to find ourselves rushing from one thing to another without stopping. But autumn’s gloomier evenings can actually serve as a gentle reminder to slow down.
Instead of resisting the early sunset, see it as an invitation: light a candle, brew a soothing tea, and allow yourself to settle down. Even five minutes of mindful breathing or simply listening to the rain against the window can help foster a sense of calm.
If you go for an evening stroll, notice the crisp air, the rustling of leaves underfoot, and the glow of street lamps—small details that often go unnoticed. And if you prefer to stay indoors, switching off a few screens and enjoying a quiet moment with a book, journal, or favourite playlist can be just as restorative.
The season might be darker, but it’s also an opportunity to create small pockets of warmth and stillness. A reminder that mindfulness isn’t about finding more time, but about noticing the time we already have.

Quote for the moment
"Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference."
By Winston Churchill

Carnelian Crystal
Carnelian is often described as a stone of vitality, motivation, and confidence. Carnelian is a stone of fire, courage, and creation — bringing motivation, passion, and grounded strength. One of my personal favourites.
Energy & Vitality: Boosts stamina and physical energy, making it popular for those who need motivation or endurance.
Confidence & Courage: Believed to dissolve fear and self-doubt, encouraging bold action.
Creativity & Passion: Associated with the sacral chakra, stimulating creative expression, sexuality, and life force.
Grounding & Stability: Provides a sense of stability while also energising, helping balance impulsiveness with focus.
Protection: In ancient times, it was used as a protective talisman against envy, resentment, and negative energies.
It also:
· Promotes a positive outlook and emotional resilience.
· Helps overcome procrastination by sparking motivation.
· Encourages decision-making and clear thinking.
· Provides comfort during transitions or challenges.
Angel Card

Trust the Universe
The Angel Guide Oracle Deck, Kyle Gray
I don’t think there is much to say about this card – it’s very self-explanatory. Whatever life has in store for you, and whatever obstacles you may encounter, trust that everything will work out for the best. I also want to add that any energy you send out into the universe will be returned to you. Trust – it’s something we can find difficult to do, but believe that everything will fall into place eventually, even if things seem challenging now – perhaps there’s a lesson to be learnt.

I wonder what this October has in store for us all. Whatever it brings, I hope it is fun and peaceful. Maybe consider ways to spend quality time with the people in your life or with yourself. Stay present and, as I always say, be kind to everyone, but most importantly, be kind to yourself. I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and light.
