Welcome to Angelic Complementary Therapies February 2026 Newsletter

How are you? How was your January? I do hope you are well and have managed to dodge the many viruses and colds that seem to have been particularly rife again this year. And all the rain! My poor family and friends in Dorset have had a particularly hard time lately with what has felt like non-stop rain. The village where my family's home was became an island!

So, February. I must be honest, February isn’t a month I look forward to, and I always breathe a sigh of relief when March appears on my calendar. However, I’ve tried really hard to find the positives in February, for me, and I thought I’d share them here.

I feel February invites us to slow down and listen a little more closely.

Take the opportunity to check in with ourselves—our bodies, our emotions, and our thoughts. It’s a time to soften expectations, honour where we are, and make space for gentle nourishment rather than pushing forward.

February is still a winter month, and you might notice a longing for more rest and warmth. When we allow ourselves to pause, we create the conditions for deeper healing and clarity to surface – wisdom.

As we move through February, I invite you to ask:

What does my body need more of right now?

Where can I offer myself a little more compassion?

What am I ready to release before stepping into the months ahead?

Healing doesn’t have to be rushed. Sometimes the most meaningful shifts happen in stillness.

As I write this, the sun streams through my patio doors—beautiful. Okay, it’s not the warming summer sun I adore, but it’s a lovely winter sun nonetheless, and sunshine is always welcome. I am also truly pleased to see the spring flowers beginning to emerge and buds forming on the branches of trees. Spring isn’t too far away, and I swear the evenings are starting to lengthen. New beginnings are unfolding. Is there anything you would like to start? It might be something as simple as giving yourself time to pause and savour that morning coffee or tea—without distraction from anything, including your phone.

Bee Pollen

I’ve recently been exploring the benefits of bee pollen – something that has come into my awareness lately. I’m a big fan of honey (the real stuff, not the sugary kind found in most supermarkets), so I thought, okay, what are the benefits of bee pollen? There are many, and that’s why I wanted to share them with you.

Bee pollen is a powerhouse of nutrients – amino acids (protein – the building blocks of the body), lipids, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins, and bioactive compounds. It can also enhance various bodily functions and offer protection against many diseases. 1 tsp a day has been shown to help maintain healthy testosterone levels.

It also has cardio-protective properties. It can protect against gout, support ovary function, aid bone metabolism, and regulate the immune system! Isn’t it incredible! I had no idea it could help us lead a healthier life.

Mindfulness

This practice involves feeding your mind with positive words and observing the encouraging impact this has on your emotions and actions.

In the coming weeks, try to pay attention to your language. The words we use don’t just vanish into thin air – they leave a lasting subliminal impact on ourselves and others. The more negative the language, the more negativity echoes in our subconscious.

Think of your words as though they are food – you want to feed your subconscious healthy foods.

Try these methods to increase the positivity of your language:

·      When you feel like criticising someone or something – stop. Consider the impact of your words and ask if there is any positive outcome from saying them. Resisting the urge to criticise will boost your self-esteem.

·      Frame things positively. For example, instead of saying, “Don’t be late”, steer clear of the negative tone by saying, “Let’s be early.” The subconscious will perceive it as a positive thought.

·      Gradually try to replace as many negative words in your speech (can’t, won’t, shouldn’t) with positive alternatives as possible.

Kindness

Think kindly of people. We're all doing the best we can, given our past experiences, learnings, and the beliefs available to us.

Speak kindly to people.

And be kind. Best you can.

Because kindness is a conscious choice to spread sunshine in a world that sometimes feels cloudy.

Reflexology

What Is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a gentle, holistic therapy that helps the body’s natural ability to restore balance and well-being. Rooted in ancient healing traditions, reflexology is based on the idea that specific points on the feet, hands, and ears correspond to different organs, glands, and systems within the body.

By applying targeted pressure to these reflex points, reflexology aims to promote relaxation, enhance circulation, and support the body's overall well-being—physically, emotionally, and energetically.

On a deeper level, reflexology significantly influences the nervous system. Stimulating reflex points sends soothing signals throughout the body, aiding in shifting it out of stress mode and into a parasympathetic “rest and restore” state. This is where true healing and repair can begin.

Many people seek reflexology for its ability to:

  • Reduce stress and promote deep relaxation

  • Support better sleep and nervous system regulation

  • Ease tension, headaches, and fatigue

  • Encourage digestive and hormonal balance

  • Create a sense of grounding and emotional clarity

Reflexology is not about forcing the body to change. Instead, it offers an invitation—encouraging the body to reconnect with its inherent wisdom and healing ability. Many people leave a session feeling calmer, lighter, and more deeply connected to themselves.

In a world that often asks us to move faster and do more, reflexology offers a gentle pause—a chance to listen inward and support the body in doing what it naturally knows how to do.

Crystal

Celestite is very calming and soothing. Just holding a piece in your hand brings a sense of calm, which in turn radiates into your aura and emotional body—beautiful. It also helps you stay calm in sensitive situations and make non-emotional decisions. Simply placing Celestite in your workplace, bedroom, or living room will pacify your mind and body.

I wonder what this February has in store for each of us. Whatever it brings, may it be fun, yet peaceful, and I wish you a very bright and joyous New Year. Perhaps consider ways to spend quality time with the people in your life. Be present, and as I always say, be kind to all, but mainly to yourself. I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and light.
