How was your August? I hope it was enjoyable, peaceful, exciting, or whatever lovely outcome you were hoping for.
My August has been quite stable, to be honest – apart from developing tendonitis in my left thumb, which meant I couldn’t provide reflexology for a week and still need to be mindful of it. It’s really strange; I know my hands, fingers, and especially my thumbs are my tools, but I didn’t realise just how much the left thumb signals back to me during treatments! I’ve had to train my right thumb to read the liver reflex (a reflex my left thumb would normally handle). I’m extremely grateful that the X-ray didn’t show any signs of wear and tear – many reflexologists do suffer from wear and tear of the thumb joint, which can lead to retirement. It’s been quite a journey of discovery, but I’m pleased to say my left thumb is feeling much better now.
Proud mumma moment – Ozzie did amazingly well in his A’levels and is heading to university this month to begin his degree in Economics. It’s going to feel very strange without him here; he’s such a bright spark of joyful energy, I will miss him greatly, but I’m so pleased he’s pursuing his dreams.
Hannah (Ozzie’s girlfriend) and I saw Phantom of the Opera. What an amazing show it is. If you haven’t seen it, I’d definitely recommend it.
Our little fur babies – Basil and Sprout – were neutered. Basil bounced back as if nothing had happened, while poor little Sprout had to wear a small jacket to protect her wound while she healed. She looked super adorable in her jacket. I can’t believe how much they have grown since we collected them! And I know they still have a good amount of growing to do.
So here we are - September: The gentle start to autumn.
September always feels like a gentle exhale after the rush of summer. The days remain bright, but there’s a crispness in the morning air that hints at autumn. Jumpers are retrieved from drawers, candles are relit, and suddenly a hot cup of tea feels twice as comforting.
It’s the month of golden light — evenings that glow a little warmer, even as they arrive a little earlier. Walks become leaf-kicking adventures, with the first reds, golds, and oranges scattered across the path.
The season invites you to slow down. Blankets on the sofa. The smell of something hearty in the oven. A book waiting by the bedside. September isn’t the full blaze of autumn yet, but the promise is there — like the gentle turning of a page.
So here’s to the beginning of cosy season: to scarves, flickering lights in the window, and the comforting feeling that home is exactly where you want to be.

Angelic Reiki 1 & 2 Practitioner Level Workshop
I’m very excited to finally announce that I will be teaching Angelic Reiki 1 & 2 in November this year. Places will be limited to ensure maximum benefit for the students.
Angelic Reiki is a beautiful, powerful, yet simple healing practice. By connecting to the highest energies of the Angelic Realm, you can channel this wonderful therapy to enhance the body’s natural healing abilities and promote wellbeing for both yourself and others.
You will receive your attunement directly from the Angels during a life-enhancing experience.
I have been graced with gaining full training from Sue Owen and wonderful teachers from The Angelic Reiki Association. Now it’s my turn to share my knowledge and teach others. If you are interested in training or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Mindfulness
Autumn Mindful Nature Walk
I enjoyed a wonderful walk Sunday morning. The leaves are starting to turn that lovely russet gold. The ground feels very soft underfoot, and there's that rich, fresh autumnal scent in the air. This inspired me to write this mindful practice for this month.
1. Begin with Intention
Before you start, pause, take a deep breath and set an intention – for example, “I will walk slowly and notice the season around me.”
2. Walk Slowly, Feel the Ground
Pay attention to each step. Notice the crunch of leaves or the softness of the ground beneath your feet.
Imagine your feet rooting gently into the ground with each step – a wonderful grounding exercise.
3. Open Your Senses, One at a Time
Sight: Notice the colours of leaves, shifting light, patterns in the sky. Look closely at small details.
Hearing: Listen for rustling leaves, birds, distant wind, or silence.
Smell: Take in the crispness of the air or the dampness of soil.
Touch: Run your fingers along bark, touch fallen leaves, or feel the breeze on your skin.
Taste: If safe and appropriate, pick a blackberry from the ripened bushes.
4. Breathe with the Season
As you walk, coordinate breath with steps.
Inhale deeply—imagine drawing in the energy of the season.
Exhale slowly—let go, like the trees releasing their leaves.
5. Pause and Observe
Stop for a moment. Notice what draws your attention without judgment.
You might observe a single leaf, a sound, or the way light filters through branches.
6. Close with Gratitude
At the end of your walk, take one last deep breath.
Silently thank the season, the land, and yourself for the time of presence.

Quote for the moment
The only person you are destined to be

Selenite Crystal

Selenite is an affordable crystal that everyone should own (in my opinion). It not only clears negative energy from objects, spaces, and the aura but also “charges and cleanses” other crystals.
Its energy is very gentle and can therefore calm the mind, reduce anxiety, and promote focus. Keep it by your bedside at night to encourage a peaceful and restful sleep.
If used in meditation, it can protect you while connecting with your intuition, spirit guides, and higher self.
As you can see, it’s a crystal must.
Angel Card
Trust the Universe
The Angel Guide Oracle Deck, Kyle Gray
I don’t think there is much to say about this card – it’s very self-explanatory. Whatever life has in store for you, and whatever obstacles you may encounter, trust that everything will work out for the best. I also want to add that any energy you send out into the universe will be returned to you. Trust – it’s something we can find difficult to do, but believe that everything will fall into place eventually, even if things seem challenging now – perhaps there’s a lesson to be learnt.

I wonder what this September has in store for us all. I have a couple of weeks off (15th – 28th). Whatever it brings, I hope it is fun and peaceful. Maybe consider ways to spend quality time with the people in your life or with yourself. Stay present and, as I always say, be kind to everyone, but most importantly, be kind to yourself. I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and light.
