Welcome to Angelic Complementary Therapies August 2026 Newsletter

Welcome to August 2026. How was your July? I do hope it was kind, and you’ve been able to get away for a break or will be soon.

I’ve just been collating my photos to put in this month's newsletter, and it’s not surprising I’m feeling a bit tired! What a busy month July was for me. Highs, lows and everything else in between.

The month started with Hannah, her mum and me going to Hyde Park to see Nile Rogers and Chic, the Scissor Sisters, and then my all-time favourite band, Duran Duran. I have been a devoted fan since I was 9 years old – Simon Le Bon being my first love. And I can honestly say he’s still as lovely in my eyes as he has ever been. At one point there were two huge angel kisses in the sky right above the stage (this is what I call it when two planes cross, leaving their distrail behind them. The weather was perfect, the company wonderful, resulting in a fantastic day and evening with wonderful memories stored away for a rainy day.

Then I went to my sanctuary on the Isle of Wight. If you ever want to get away from everything, I can highly recommend Tiny Homes (https://www.tinyhomesholidays.com/). It’s a place where you feel removed from the realities of life and what’s going on in the world. It’s my haven. There’s a gorgeous forest just a short walk away, and all you hear are the sounds of nature. There’s even a fairy garden someone has created. I go there every year, and the energy of the place is one of utter peace and calm.

The Isle of Wight is a bit like stepping back in time, peaceful, calm and lots of beautiful places to explore. Including a really cute cafe in Shanklin with a wonderful fairy garden. With the weather being so hot, I felt like I could have been in the Mediterranean!

I also taught the Walking with the Angels workshop for a second time. Again, what a wonderful group of people. Each one was inspiring, and it made sharing my knowledge a pleasure. A truly beautiful day.

Very proud Mumma moment alert…

Theo, our gorgeous, funny, sensitive, extremely kind and talented son, graduated from Portsmouth University in film production with a First-Class Honours degree. I was already proud he was following his dreams and studying his passion, and then to achieve the grade he did! I couldn’t be prouder. And on top of that, he was awarded the Raindance Award for Best Short Film for the film he wrote!! Words cannot express how proud we are of him. Now go and embrace the world, Theo, and protect your heart along the way.

I realise I’ve only written about the highs in the last month; there have also been lows, but I choose not to dwell or write about these as they wouldn’t serve me or anyone a positive purpose.

The hot weather looks set to continue for the foreseeable future; please be mindful when you are out and about and careful if you are travelling to places where there are wildfires.

Seasonal Allergies

I’ve reposted the self-help techniques for seasonal allergies as they are still very prevalent.

The warmer weeks continue and some people may be affected by seasonal allergies..

Here is a self-help facial reflexology routine to help alleviate symptoms. It is recommended that you do this 2-3 times a day, especially when you wake and before you sleep.

Along with reflexology, here are some other top tips to ease allergies

·      Reduce exposure – Try to identify your trigger and reduce it where possible. For example, I don’t hang my son’s clothing or bed linen outside to dry. He wears sunglasses to minimise pollen entering his eyes.

·      Eat healthy foods – support a healthy gut microbiome to help the immune system

·      Manage your stress – ensure you get enough downtime and rest

·      Moderate exercise – this will not only keep you fitter and healthier but also boost your immune system

August reflection

August reminds us to slow down and appreciate the season we're in. As summer begins to soften, it's a good time to reflect on what has brought us joy, what we've learned, and what we'd like to carry forward. Even small moments of kindness, gratitude, and quiet reflection can help us approach the months ahead with renewed purpose and hope.

Mindfulness practice for August

As August unfolds, take a few moments each day to pause and notice the world around you. Feel the warmth of the sun, listen to the sounds of nature, or simply take three slow, deep breaths. Let yourself be fully present in the moment without rushing to the next task.

At the end of each day, reflect on one thing that brought you joy or gratitude. These small moments of awareness can help cultivate calm, resilience, and a greater appreciation for the season we're in.

Crystal of the month – Rainbow Aura Quartz

Rainbow Aura Quartz is a natural quartz crystal that has been bonded with metals (typically titanium) in a high-heat process, creating its distinctive iridescent rainbow sheen. It is associated with the following qualities:

  • Joy and optimism – Thought to uplift the mood and encourage a positive outlook.

  • Emotional healing – Believed to help release stress, sadness, and emotional blockages.

  • Energy enhancement – Often used to amplify intentions and support personal growth.

  • Creativity and inspiration – Said to stimulate imagination and new ideas.

  • Balance and harmony – Associated with aligning the body's energy centres (chakras), particularly the crown chakra.

  • Spiritual awareness – Used by some during meditation to encourage a sense of connection and inner peace.

  • Confidence and self-expression – Believed to help people embrace their authentic selves.

Just holding this beautiful crystal fills me with joy.

Angel Card

Blessings and Abundance

The Angel Guide Oracle Deck, Kyle Gray

When I connect with this card, the angels remind us to remember our blessings and see them with the eyes of abundance, sense them with abundance, and hear them with abundance. As with everything (and as previously mentioned at the beginning of this newsletter), there is always light and shade, good and not-so-good, positivity and negativity. When we focus on the good, we raise our vibration and invite more positivity into our lives. Focus on the blessings and see the abundance in all.

See the blessings and see how far you have grown, the transformations that you have gone through. Nothing can stay the same; change is inevitable. Find the blessing.

I wonder what this August has in store for each of us. Whatever it brings, may it be fun and peaceful. Maybe think of ways you can have quality time with the people in your life or quality time with yourself. Be present and, as I always say, be kind to all, but mostly yourself. I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and light.
