A little more light - November 2026

A monthly newsletter from Angelic Complementary Therapies for the mind, body & soul

Welcome to my new-look Angelic Complementary newsletter, now called “A little more light”. I chose this name because I feel our beautiful planet Earth certainly needs a little more light. Recently, I have also been drawn to being more in tune with the lunar cycles, and I wanted to include this in my newsletters moving forward.

This month, I want to talk about the beauty of slowing down - finding peace in the present, trusting our intuition, and embracing the quieter moments.

So, how was your October? I can wholeheartedly say we are now in autumn. Our little Freddie (the tortoise) is in hibernation, and Basil and Sprout (cats) are much happier watching the birds and squirrels from inside the house rather than running around in the rain.

I sit looking out into my garden while I write this newsletter; I’m drawn to the beautiful autumnal colours of the leaves that remain. I know it will only be a matter of weeks before the golden colours of autumn begin to fade, the trees shed their leaves, and the days become noticeably shorter.

There is something beautiful about this time of year. Nature seems to slow down, inviting us to do the same.

We spend so much of our lives rushing from one thing to another, trying to keep up with responsibilities and expectations. I feel November is a gentle reminder that we don't always have to be doing something.

Sometimes we simply need to pause, breathe and appreciate where we are.

This month, let's embrace the quieter moments, enjoy a little more time for ourselves and remember that even when life appears still, beautiful things are happening beneath the surface.

UNDER THE MOON

November's lunar calendar

The Moon moves through its own beautiful cycle each month, reminding us of the natural rhythms of beginnings, growth, fullness and release.

Here are November's four main lunar phases:

·       1 November – Last Quarter: Traditionally associated with letting go, reflection, and releasing what no longer serves us.

·       9 November – New Moon: A time for fresh beginnings, new possibilities, and setting intentions.

·       17 November – First Quarter: Associated with taking action, building confidence and moving forward.

·       24 November – Full Moon – Beaver Moon: Traditionally associated with gratitude, completion and recognising how far we have travelled.

The Beaver Moon is the traditional name for November's Full Moon, associated with the time of year when beavers prepare for winter.

The changing Moon is a gentle reminder that every phase of life has its purpose. We cannot always be growing or achieving; sometimes we need time to rest and simply be.

THE MONTHLY ANGEL MESSAGE

Lady of the Lake, keeper of sacred truth

From Kyle Gray’s, The Earth Guardian Oracle deck.

A beautiful and mystical card, bringing with it themes of intuition, inner wisdom, truth and the gentle strength that comes from trusting ourselves.

Her message for November is to become still enough to hear our inner voice.

Sometimes we look outside ourselves for answers, seeking reassurance or worrying about which direction to take. Yet deep down, we often know more than we credit ourselves with.

The Lady of the Lake reminds us to trust our feelings, honour our truth and have faith in the journey we are on.

Water is constantly moving and changing, finding its way around obstacles rather than fighting them. Perhaps there is a little wisdom in that for all of us.

We don't need to control every situation or have all the answers. We can allow life to unfold while staying true to ourselves.

Trust your intuition. Listen to your inner wisdom. Have confidence in your path.

Mindfulness

The freedom of letting go

As the trees shed their leaves, November offers us a lovely opportunity to reflect on what we might be ready to let go of in our own lives.

Perhaps it is an old worry, an expectation we have placed on ourselves, or the habit of trying to keep everyone happy.

Letting go doesn't mean we don't care. Sometimes it simply means recognising that something is no longer right for us.

We cannot change the past, control everything around us, or make everyone understand our choices.

But we can choose how to move forward.

There is great freedom in accepting ourselves, knowing our worth and letting life become a little lighter.

Remember, letting go creates space for something new.

SEASONAL INSPIRATION

Finding November's little moments of magic

Although November can bring grey skies and chilly mornings, there is still so much beauty to enjoy.

The last autumn leaves, berries in the hedgerows, misty mornings, and the wonderful earthy smell of the woodland after rain (I love this smell).

Bonfire Night brings its sparkle on 5 November, while Remembrance Sunday offers us an opportunity to pause and remember those who have served and sacrificed.

As the month progresses, small signs of Christmas begin to appear, bringing a sense of anticipation and warmth.

Perhaps one of the loveliest things about November is the invitation to appreciate life's simple pleasures: a countryside walk, a cosy evening, candlelight, or watching the rain from a warm window.

There is magic in the ordinary when we take the time to notice it.

NOVEMBER’S MONTHLY INTENTION

Choosing peace over pressure

Our intention for November is beautifully simple: to make more room for peace.

To worry a little less about things beyond our control, to stop putting unnecessary pressure on ourselves, and to recognise that we don't have to do everything.

We are allowed to slow down. We are allowed to change direction. And we are allowed to put ourselves first, too.

Our intention for the month:

“I choose peace over pressure. I release what I cannot control and welcome more calm, happiness and balance into my life.”

A MOMENT TO REFLECT

As we move through November, perhaps the most important thing to remember is that our lives don't need to look like anyone else's.

We all have our own journeys, challenges and timing.

There is no need to compare, compete, or feel that we should be somewhere else by now.

Give yourself credit for how far you have come. Celebrate the small victories and recognise the strength it has taken to get here.

Sometimes the greatest growth happens quietly, without anyone else noticing.

price change

As we move towards a new year, I wanted to let you know about a small change to my treatment prices.

I have been pleased to keep my prices unchanged for the past two years, but with the rising costs of running my practice, I'll be increasing my treatments by £ 5 from 1st January 2027.

This hasn't been a decision I've taken lightly, but with the rising costs of running my practice, this adjustment will help me continue to offer you the time, care and nurturing space that I believe are so important to your experience.

I am passionate about providing treatments that offer genuine value, combining my experience, knowledge and dedication with a personal approach to each individual. Whether you visit me for reflexology or any of the energy healing treatments, I want you to feel welcome, cared for and confident that you are investing in your wellbeing.

I feel truly grateful to everyone who chooses to visit me and allows me to be part of their wellbeing journey. Your continued trust, loyalty and support mean so much, and I never take them for granted.

Thank you for being part of my holistic community. I look forward to continuing to support you with moments of calm, balance, relaxation and healing throughout 2027.

With love, light and gratitude.

CLOSING THOUGHT

As November unfolds, may you find beauty in its quieter moments and comfort in the simple things. May you have the confidence to trust yourself, the courage to let go of what no longer serves you, and the wisdom to recognise what truly matters.

Remember, you don't need to map out the whole journey. Sometimes all you need is a little faith, a little patience, and trust in yourself. This is something I hear the angels say very often.

And perhaps that is the beautiful message of the Lady of the Lake: to find stillness within, listen to your heart, and allow life to flow.

With that said, I wonder what this November has in store for each of us. Whatever it brings, I wish you a November filled with peace, gentle moments and a little more light. Be present and, as I always say, be kind to all, but mostly yourself. I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and a little more light.
