Welcome to Angelic Complementary Therapies June 2024 Newsletter

It’s June! I hope all is well with you and you’re taking some time to regroup and rejuvenate.

How was your May? Can someone tell me where the sun is, please? I must be honest; the weather represents how I’m feeling at present. It’s been a fairly turbulent month. Roll on the month of June, and I truly hope for some sunshine.

One highlight of my month was spending time at Avebury Rings with my beautiful Angel sisters—a very special day spent with very special souls. If you’ve never been, I would highly recommend it. I find the energy there much softer than the energy at Stonehenge.

Discover the Healing Power of Kindness this June

I feel inclined to write about kindness this month. One of my favourite quotes is, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” Kindness doesn’t cost a thing and can make someone’s day with a simple act of kindness, such as a hello or a smile. The act of kindness is a fundamental and powerful gesture that can have profound impacts on individuals and society.

Kindness refers to actions characterised by being friendly, generous, and considerate.

Examples include:

  • Helping a stranger: Offering assistance to someone in need, for example, helping someone across the road or giving directions.

  • Volunteering: Donating time and effort to causes such as a charity shop, animal shelters, or food banks.

  • Small gestures: Acts like smiling at someone, giving compliments, or holding the door open.

  • Supporting friends and family: Being there for loved ones in times of need, offering emotional support, or helping with tasks.

Psychological Benefits:

  • Improved Mood: Performing acts of kindness can boost your own mood and create a sense of satisfaction.

  • Reduced Stress: Helping others can decrease stress levels and promote a sense of calm and purpose.

Social Benefits:

  • Stronger Relationships: Acts of kindness can strengthen bonds with friends, family, and the community.

Health Benefits:

  • Lower Blood Pressure: Acts of kindness have been linked to lower blood pressure and overall heart health.

  • Longer Lifespan: Some studies suggest that those who engage in kind acts may experience longer and healthier lives.

Psychological:

  • Empathy: Understanding and sharing the feelings of others can drive kind behaviours.

  • Compassion: A deep awareness of and sympathy for another's suffering can inspire acts of kindness.

Cultivating Kindness:

  • Mindfulness and Awareness: Be mindful of others' needs and actively seek help opportunities.

  • Education and Role Modelling: Teaching children the value of kindness and demonstrating it through one's own actions.

  • Gratitude Practices: Regularly expressing gratitude can increase the likelihood of engaging in kind acts.

The act of kindness, whether small or large, can create ripples of positivity that extend far beyond the initial gesture. It enriches the lives of both the giver and the receiver, fostering a more connected and compassionate world. Practising kindness daily can lead to a more fulfilling and harmonious life.

Quote for the moment

Mindfulness

Stress is normal; it’s how we deal with it that’s important. Here is a very quick and simple exercise that will allow you to take a step back from stress and lessen its impact on the body and mind.

1.     Every time you begin to feel stressed, stand up (or sit up straight) and take three deep, slow breaths.

2.     As you take your breaths, do not focus on the stress; focus only on your posture and your breathing.

3.     Try this every time you feel the stress rising for a week and see if it makes a difference. Sometimes it’s the simple little things that can have a huge impact.

The aim of this exercise is to reduce stress. Too much stress is harmful for the body, but we can’t avoid stress in everyday life. This technique is very simple and very effective at quickly relieving stress from the body.

Crystal/Stone of the month – Apache Tears

This beautiful stone is good for overcoming grief. Legend has it that the Apache and US Calvery were in battle in the Arizona mountains in the 1800’s. The Apache were outnumbered, and rather than face defeat they road their horse off the mountain. Their tears are from their families, and the tears have turned to stone. If you couple this stone with rose quartz, it’s a very powerful combination.

Honour your Beauty – Archangel Jophiel

Angel Prayers Oracle Deck, Kyle Gray

Your Angels are encouraging you to realise you are more beautiful than you realise. You are perfect in the eyes of God and his Angels and it’s time you looked at yourself this way too. Beauty goes beyond vanity and outward appearance but taking steps towards making yourself feel and look good will help. You have a beautiful heart and the Angels are blessed to guide you.

Archangel Jophiel

Jophiel’s name means ‘The Beauty of God’, and she is the Archangel who can help us acknowledge our beauty. She is a wonderful Angel who can be called upon to overcome the inner voice of doubt and fear that many of us face. She’s like a breath of fresh air and brings a serene positive energy to anyone who calls her. She works closely with Archangel Michael to help us overcome negative traits in out thoughts and choices.

I wonder what this June has in store for each of us. Whatever it brings, may it be fun and peaceful. Maybe think of ways you can have quality time with the people in your life or quality time with yourself. Be present and, as I always say, be kind to all, but mostly yourself. I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and light.
