Welcome to Angelic Complementary Therapies August Newsletter
Is it just me or did July fly by! As I write this the Tokyo Olympics are in full swing, it’s just so sad that there aren’t many spectators watching at the various venues. Still, like everyone, we make the most of these strange situations. At present Great Britain are doing really well.
Both my boys have broken up from school (lots of pj days for them), and my eldest gets his GCSE results on August 14th! I can't believe he'll be doing his A'Levels in September! I'm busy getting my second book edited which I hope will be available later this year.
Last week I had a 'Me date'. I visited The Sculpture Park in Farnham, followed by Waverley Abbey (below are some photos). It was so lovely, peaceful and tranquil and I felt so much more refreshed and energised. I really recommend dating yourself, spend time with yourself and get to know who you really are. Pursue solo activities - having a manicure, watch a favourite film, treat yourself to a takeaway, walk in a beautiful place. Whatever it is, be kind to yourself and enjoy the space to reflect and experience new things. The more 'you time' you allow into your life, the more you will begin to value yourself and think of yourself in a positive light. and very much needed to spend time with just me,
Latest news - I’m currently gaining the formal Crystal Reflexology qualification. I do use crystals in many of my therapies, and I’m really looking forward to offering Crystal Reflexology in the not too distant future – watch this space!
At some point, each day go through this process. It is quick and can be done anywhere at any time. Stop all that you are doing and:
Notice 5 things you can see
Notice 4 things you can feel
Notice 3 things you can hear
Notice 2 things you can smell
Notice one thing you can taste
If you do this at different times of the day and places it will show you just how much you are experiencing.
Quote for the moment
"Until one has loved an animal,
a part of one's soul remains unawakened"
(This is a photo of my gorgeous Jeff Jefferson whom we all love very much).
Dare to be different!
When you are criticised, remember that will will never please everyone.
Many brilliant and gifted individuals were not fully appreciated or understood in their own lifetime. Yet it is often they who have sown the seeds of change.
Have a wonderful “sunny” August and I hope whatever this month brings, may it be fun, peaceful and kind and I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and light.
