December newsletter

Welcome to Angelic Complementary Therapies December Newsletter

I do hope you are well and keeping warm now December is upon us. My younger son was very excited to see a brief flurry of snow on Sunday, he’s still hoping for a white Christmas!

As I write this newsletter, the Christmas tree lights are casting a warm glow on my notebook leaving me to feel very festive. My tree is adorned with decorations that myself and children have made or collected for many, many years – each one unique and each with a special memory. Christmas is the one time of year I let myself get carried away with tacky ornaments and decorations – if anyone knows me well, they’ll know I LOVE Christmas (it also happens to be my birthday).

To me, Christmas is a time to be with family and loved ones, which was very difficult for many last year and I truly hope won’t be the same this year. I’m also aware Christmas can be very difficult time if you’ve lost a loved one. Spending time at the Hospice truly does encourage you to be present and make the most of life as possible and no amount of money can buy the one true gift we all desire – health and to love and be loved. To have special people in our lives. Maybe pick up the phone and give that friend a call, the one you’ve been meaning to call for too long now but never get around to it. All we have is now. Live, Laugh and Love – one of my favourite sayings.

Quote for the moment

“My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?”

Bob Hope

If Christmas is hard,

If you’ve lost someone dear.

Just look in your heart,

And you’ll know they’re still here.

The star in the sky,

The light falling snow.

The robin outside,

It seems like they know.

If this is a time,

When you’re struggling through.

Just do what you can,

For what matters, is you.

There’s no need to be merry,

There’s no need to be bright.

Just do what you can,

It will all be alright.
